An extremely rare recording of David Bowie, dating back to when he was a member of the group The Konrads, has been put up for sale at a London auction and can also be heard online at Last.fm.
The song, entitled Mocking Bird, is part of a rare collection of 5 000 songs owned by Joe Meek, who is offering the song at the It’s More Than Rock’n Roll auction in London today (September 2).
The song is expected to be sold for more than
$530 000 US.
A Tom Jones song also is being auctioned at the event.
