Rebecca De Mornay’s Next Film

According to Variety, De Mornay will be starring in a remake of the 1980 film.

She joins a cast that includes Jaime King, Shawn Ashmore, Briana Evigan and Deborah Ann Woll in the new version, written by Scott Milam and being directed by Darren Lynn Bousman.

The story follows a family of criminals led by a sadistic mother.  They return to their former home to terrorize the new owners and their guests.

Filming is set to begin next week in Winnipeg, and the flick should hit theatres in April, 2010,  just in time for Mother’s Day on May 9.

Rebecca De Mornay’s last film was American Venus in 2007.  She is currently wrapping up work on the comedy/drama Flipped with Aiden Quinn, which opens in theatres on September 17, 2010.
