Red Hot Chili Peppers unveil artwork

I’m With You album cover designed by British artist Damian Hirst.

American rockers Red Hot Chili Peppers have revealed the artwork for their upcoming album, I’m With You, due out August 30, reports Clash Music.

Designed by British artist Damian Hirst, the album artwork depicts a fly perched on a pill labeled with the album title in tiny print. The image – like most of the details about the album – was leaked through the Twitter account of bassist Flea.

I’m With You will include 14 new songs including the debut single, The Adventures of Raindance Maggie, which is scheduled to drop on July 18.

In the long wait since their last album – 2006’s Stadium Arcadium – the band has undergone some significant changes. Most notably, guitarist Josh Klinghoffer has joined the band, bringing a new element to the group.

"Josh has never really had a band he was part of… he came in with sort of a lifetime of music… a real reservoir of chords and ideas… and now he has a place for it," frontman Anthony Kiedis told KROQ radio station.
