Reese Witherspoon to present award at Oscars

Walk the Line actress joins list of presenters for 83rd Academy Awards.

Academy award-winning actress Reese Witherspoon will be one of the presenters at the upcoming Oscar awards ceremony according to an announcement by Oscar show producers Bruce Cohen and Don Mischer, reports Deadline.

Witherspoon will join Annette Bening, Halle Berry, Jeff Bridges, Sandra Bullock, Robert Downey Jr., Tom Hanks, Hugh Jackman, Nicole Kidman, Jude Law, Gwyneth Paltrow and Oprah Winfrey – who have all confirmed their participation in the star-studded event hosted by James Franco and Anne Hathaway. The Oscar ceremony will be held on Sunday, February 27.

In 2005, Witherspoon took home the best actress Oscar for her role as country music singer June Carter Cash, starring opposite Joaquin Phoenix, in the film Walk the Line.

Witherspoon, 34, will share the screen with Robert Pattinson in the film adaptation of the bestselling novel, Water for Elephants, on April 22. She also stars in the action-comedy This Means War with Tom Hardy and Chris Pine, however the release date is unknown.
