Variety reported that the Oscar-winning actress is in talks to star in the movie based on the real childhood adventure of actor George Hamilton (The Godfather Part III).
The story takes place in the 1950s and revolves around the glamorous Anne Deveraux (who would be played by Zellweger), who searches for a wealthy man to care for her and her sons.
Richard Loncraine will be directing the movie and the screenplay was written by Charlie Peters. It will start shooting in April.
In April, Zellweger will be on the big screen opposite George Clooney in the movie Leatherheads.
