Return of Broken Social Scene

The Canadian collective hits the road in May for a series of European shows.

The group, including Emily Haines from Metric and Feist, will start the tour off at London’s Brixton Academy on May 13. Other cities on the schedule include Minehead, Amsterdam, Cologne and Paris. The only Canadian tour stop is Toronto on June 19.

Members of Broken Social Scene are putting the finishing touches on their fourth album, the group’s first since 2005. You Forget It In People was released in 2002 and can be found on many of the best album of the decade lists. In Canada, only Arcade Fire’s first album rates higher.

The new Broken Social Scene album is being produced by Tortoise’s John McEntire, another group constantly praised by critics.
