Revisit the royal wedding at Buckingham Palace

Wedding dress, tiara and other ceremonial items go on display in London this summer.

Kate Middleton’s iconic wedding dress will go on public display at Buckingham Palace this summer along with other items from the ceremony, reports La Presse.

Visitors can also finally get a good look at Kate’s wedding shoes, which were barely visible beneath the hem of her gown during the April 29 ceremony. According to the official website of the royal wedding, the shoes were "hand-made by the team at Alexander McQueen, of ivory duchesse satin and lace embroidered by the Royal School of Needlework."

After an entrance fee of about $30, visitors will be able to see the exclusive gown and shoes designed by Alexander McQueen’s protégé Sarah Burton. Also on display are the 1936 halo tiara worn by Kate on her walk down the aisle, and even a replica of the royal wedding cake.

"The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted to give members of the public the opportunity to see, close-up, the skilled British craftsmanship that went into various elements of the wedding," said a spokesperson for the couple.

The Royal Collection will be on display at the Queen’s London home from July 23 to October 3.
