The Puerto Rican singer, born Enrique Martin Morales, will be recognised at a ceremony in New York on November 1, just weeks before his 35th birthday.
The Academy will honour the Livin’ La Vida Loca star for his musical accomplishments as well as his charitable work advocating for the welfare of children around the world.
Martin has just completed recording a concert for MTV which will be televised later this year. Also, the star was recently named as one of the 50 Sexiest Men by People magazine and its Spanish counterpart.
