The singer is planning to welcome children from around the world into his home, and create a multicultural family. He did stipulate that he will not use his celebrity status to speed up the adoption process.
Martin told USA Today, "It’s something I want to begin to create this year, a family of many colours. I want to do it right and I don’t want problems or misunderstandings. Some think as celebrities we can manipulate the system to have a quicker adoption."
Martin, 35, is not married, and has created the Ricky Martin Foundation in Puerto Rico, which works with children all around the world. He is also an ambassador for UNICEF.
