Rihanna designer for Topshop?

Pop singer rumoured to be creating fashion collection for English department store chain.

After a cozy meeting in sunny Barbados, rumours have begun circulating in the fashion world that pop singer Rihanna, 22, may be working on a clothing collection for the English department store chain Topshop, reports Coco Perez.

The star was spotted in her native Barbados this week, sharing a dinner with Topshop owner, Sir Philip Green, and music mogul Simon Cowell.

Rihanna noted the meeting with excitement on her Twitter page, “Just had dinner w/ Simon Cowell Philip Green, and Lucian G., and Ashley (thanks) @ Sandy Lane! Great night!”

The songstress is no stranger to the brand – last October she acted as the personal stylist for five lucky contest winners who won complete outfits from Topshop picked out by none other than RiRi.

Following supermodel Kate Moss, who has worked for several years with the British retailer, it could now be Rihanna’s turn to show off her talents as a designer. Rumour has it that the association between Rihanna and Topshop will be announced soon.

The latest collection by Kate Moss for Topshop was launched November 2, paying tribute to Moss’ boho-chic style with vintage dresses, floral prints, sequins and tweeds.

Topshop’s first flagship store outside of the United Kingdom is located on Broadway in New York City, and, at roughly 60,000 square feet, is the brand’s second largest store after the company’s flagship store in London.
