While Rihanna’s new relationship appears to be a new start and drama free, People reports that rumours are circulating about the temperament of her new boyfriend, Dodger player Matt Kemp.
In June 2008, Kemp’s ex-girlfriend, Felisha Terrell, asked for a restraining order against him, saying she was a victim of his constant verbal abuse and threats. "He has other people calling me, stalking me and I feel very afraid for my safety," she said.
Nothing more came of the matter since they went their separate ways after the restraining order.
Rihanna was abused during her last relationshiop with singer Chris Brown. He physically attacked her, pleaded guilty to the charges and was sentenced to six months of community service.
A rep for Terrell quickly released a statement clarifying that Kemp was never physically violent towards his ex.
Meanwhile, Kemp’s agent has always denied Terrell’s allegations and says his client is upset by the whole affair, especially considering what Rihanna has been through.
"He denied [the claims] emphatically, even verbal abuse. He’s just that not that kind of person," added his lawyer, Richard A. Stilz.
Rihanna, 21, met the baseplayer player, 25, in November through mutual friends.
