Rihanna models for perfume packaging

Barbadian songstress unveils package design for her Reb’l Fleur fragrance.

It will take another few months to get Rihanna’s much anticipated Reb’l Fleur fragrance, but images for its packaging have recently benn unveiled, reports Coco Perez.

The box design for her fragrance features the Barbadian pop star with wavy red hair, wearing a satin jacket, and contemplatively stopping to smell the roses, so to speak.

The Barbadian pop star’s fragrance – reflective of the singer’s personality – is described as bold and intense, with sophisticated floral notes of tuberose, violet and hibiscus, with a hint of coconut.

Named after one of her tattoos, ‘rebelle fleur,’ – inspired by what her mother used to call her – the scent was created by Caroline Sabas and Marypierre Julien, and will be distributed by Pralux.

Reb’l Fleur is the first fragrance by Rihanna and was introduced last month at the duty-free trade conference, TFWA World Exhibition, in Cannes. The fragrance will be offered in the United States in 2011.

Rihanna has just released her fifth studio album, Loud, last month, which debuted at number three on the Billboard 200, becoming the fifth top-ten album in her U.S. career.

On December 5, 2010, Rihanna had three songs in the top ten on the UK singles chart with Only Girl (In The World) at number seven, What’s My Name? at number eight, and the David Guetta single Who’s That Chick? at number nine.
