Rihanna names debut single from upcoming album

We Found Love will hit the airwaves on October 11.

In the lead up to her sixth studio album’s release next year, Rihanna has confirmed the name of its debut single: We Found Love, which promptly became a Twitter trend when the singer announced the title on the social networking site.

"’We Found Love’ is trending WORLDWIDE…!" Rihanna wrote, after learning her newest title was already taking Twitter by storm.

The new single was produced by Scottish DJ Calvin Harris and is set to hit the airwaves on October 11, a representative for Rihanna told Rapup.com. Harris joined the singer for part of her Loud tour earlier this year.

Rihanna has also intimated that her upcoming album will be heavily influenced by the club scene. "You KNOW how I been lovin Dubstep since Rated R," she wrote on Twitter, referencing her 2009 studio album, which blended hip hop, rock and dubstep for an angrier sound than her previous LPs.

In the meantime, fans can hear Rihanna featured on the song Princess of China for Coldplay’s upcoming album, Mylo Xyloto, which is due out October 24.
