How does hardworking pop star Rihanna manage to create those chart-topping albums while touring the world?
Recently named ‘Sexiest Woman Alive’ by Esquire magazine, the 23-year-old singer travels with a mobile studio, according to her vocal producer, Kuk Harrell, who co-wrote her hit song Umbrella.
“In addition to touring, we are recording Rihanna’s new album,” he told HollywoodLife.com. “We have a portable studio that we set up at the different hotels that we are staying at. We set up shop anywhere in the hotel. Rihanna is an amazing talent. She’s smart. She’s so on point. She knows great songs and most importantly she knows what’s a great song for her!”
“Before we went on the European leg of Rihanna’s Loud tour, we started recording the album in Los Angeles,” he added. “Rihanna likes to work late hours, so she would come into the studio at 9:00 p.m. and work until 6:00 a.m.”
Rihanna’s sixth studio album Talk That Talk will be released on November 21. Her new single, We Found Love, has been available for download since October 11.
As for the Loud tour, it will end with a series of three performances, on December 22 in London, England.
