Rihanna tries on Armani

R&B singer named new face of Emporio Armani underwear and jeans.

Italian fashion house Emporio Armani has chosen R&B singer Rihanna as the new face of their intimates and denim lines, reports the London Evening Standard.

The Umbrella hitmaker will appear in the new campaigns for this year’s fall-winter collections. The ads have already been photographed during a recent shoot in New York City, and the images are expected to debut in September.

When it comes to fashion, the 23-year-old singer says that she likes to shock people with her own unique look. Discussing her upcoming wardrobe choices, the star revealed: "I probably see a lot of menswear, or something extremely, extremely feminine. But I like to play with both."

"It would have to be so extreme that it’s a look, because I don’t usually like typical ladylike, girly-girly stuff," she added. "It would be a look if I were to do it. I always like something that’s a little off, so it’s just not typical or expected."

The pop star has also recently signed on as spokesperson for Vita Coco coconut water drink, and earlier this year, she teamed up with beauty giant Nivea, starring in a seductive ad celebrating the company’s 100th year in business.

As brand ambassador for the luxury fashion house, Rihanna follows in the footsteps of David and VIctoria Beckham, Megan Fox and Cristiano Ronaldo.
