Rita Wilson to launch debut album

Wife of Tom Hanks announces February 7 launch of AM/FM.

Actress Rita Wilson, 55, wife of actor Tom Hanks, remembers when she was a little girl, growing up in Los Angeles, sitting in the back seat of the family car singing along to AM radio, reports Billboard.

As she got older, she began to listen to FM radio, which played music from 1970s singer-songwriters. Half classic pop and the other half folk-rock, Wilson’s debut album AM/FM will launch on February 7.

No stranger to singing, Wilson appeared as Roxy in the 2006 Broadway revival of the musical Chicago, and also produced the film adaptation of the stage musical Mamma Mia.

“I’ve always felt more comfortable with music than acting," the Sleepless in Seattle actress said.
