Yesterday (December 6), the Weezer frontman was involved in a bus accident and wound up in a New York hospital.
Cuomo, 40, complained of having sore ribs and was sent to the St. Mary Hospital in Amsterdam, New York along with another passenger.
Cuomo’s wife and his 2-year-old daughter, who were also on board, were not injured.
The bus was leaving Toronto, Ontario and heading toward Boston, Massachusetts for a concert booked for tonight (December 7). The show was to open at the Agganis Arena at the University of Boston.
According to the driver, ice was to blame for the accident. Moreover, the police reported that drugs and alcohol were not involved.
Weezer was forced to cancel all dates set for December for the Ratitude tour, but those shows will likely resume at a later time.
The new Weezer album, Ratitude, was released on October 27.
