British police are searching for five men who stole cameras and lenses from the set of the film Robin Hood, starring Russell Crowe, on Friday night (July 31).
IMDb.com reports that five masked men broke locks, windows and a door at Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire, England. Security guards rushed to the spot when the alarm sounded, but were unable to catch the thieves, who escaped in a silver sports car.
The police therefore have appealed to the public to find the criminals and ask any witnesses to come forward.
"They stole various specialist cameras and lenses which are worth a lot of money. They have also stolen a Sony Srw 5000, a device which converts footage into high-definition format and which alone is worth £65,000," said a policeman.
