According to Variety, De Niro accepted a part in the film alongside De Niro, who has not been in a film since The Singing Detective in 2003.
Gibson will play a police detective in Boston who sees his 24-year-old daughter get killed in front of their house. Gibson thought he was the killer’s target, but then realises that his daughter had a secret life involving corrupt government and corporate affairs. De Niro will play an agent that tries to wipe out all governmental implication in the incident.
The movie will be directed by Martin Campbell (Casino Royale). It is a film adaptation of the six-hour series shown on the BBC in 1985, which was also directed by Campbell.
