Robert De Niro Wants a Sequel to Taxi Driver

American actor Robert De Niro met movie director Martin Scorsese to convince him to do a sequel to the movie Taxi Driver.

De Niro would like to have the opportunity to replay the part of Vietnam veteran, Travis Bickle, as he did in 1976.  His performance got him an Oscar nomination.

The actor would work on the script according to Ireland On-Line.  De Niro, 61, says: "I was talking with Martin Scorsese about doing what I guess you’d call a sequel to Taxi Driver, where he is older."

De Niro is doing well at the box-office at this time with his performance in the movie Meet the Fockers.  It has made 250 million since December 22.
