Robert De Niro’s Next Projects

Robert De Niro wants to film the next two sequels to The Good Shepherd.

According to Variety, actor, director and producer Robert De Niro, is planning to film two follow-ups to The Good Shepherd. The star-studded cast would include the man himself, along with Matt Damon and Angelina Jolie.

At the Karlovy Vary Film Festival in the Czech Republic, where he was honoured with a crystal globe for his lifelong achievement, De Niro revealed his agenda.

The Good Shepherd, which was released in 2006, was a CIA story about the character Edward Wilson, played by Matt Damon. The second installment would follow Wilson from the years 1961 to 1989, while the third would follow  Wilson up until the present.

De Niro has not yet begun his research for the next two films. He also indicated that he and Martin Scorsese have something in the works. The two are working together on at least two other films, including one to come out in 2009.

In the meantime, we will see De Niro star with Al Pacino in Righteous Kill on September 13, and in What Just Happened? with Bruce Willis, out in theatres on October 3.
