Robert Pattinson Puts Acting First

The star, who plays Edward Cullen in the film franchise, recorded two songs with his band for the Twilight soundtrack, but has no plans to do the same for the soundtrack for the second film of the series, New Moon, which hits theatres on November 20.

"I don’t think I will be on the soundtrack this time. It’s still early on, but there are so many people that might be on it," said Pattinson.

The British actor believes that the competition to record for the next soundtrack will be tight, as the Twilight soundtrack was a hit.  He added, "The last one did so well, so loads of bands want to go on it. Bands that I would never ever have thought would be on a soundtrack I think are going to be on it this time."

Rumours are circulating that Coldplay is one of the groups being considered for the next disc.
