Robert Pattinson to Star with Hugh Jackman

Robert Pattinson will be starring with Hugh Jackman and Rachel Weisz in the film Unbound Captives.

Actress Madeleine Stowe (Bad Girls, We Are Soldiers) will be making her directing debut with Unbound Captives, starring Robert Pattinson, Hugh Jackman and Rachel Weisz.

Stowe also penned the script with her husband, Brian Benben. In 1993, she turned down a multi-million dollar offer from Fox for this project. She was also expected to play a role in the film, but Rachel Weisz has taken it instead.

The story follows a frontiersman (Jackman) who helps a woman (Weisz) whose husband is killed and two kids kidnapped by Comanche warriors in 1859. Pattinson will play Jackman’s character’s son.

Filming is set to begin at the end of the year. The photography director will be John Toll (Braveheart, The Last Samurai).

In the meantime, Robert Pattinson will also be seen as vampire Edward Cullen in The Twilight Saga: New Moon, which hits theatres on November 20. Hugh Jackman is currently starring in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, and Rachel Weisz will star in Peter Jackson’s The Lovely Bones, opening on December 11.
