Robert Plant to play Montreal Jazz Festival

Diana Krall and Peter Frampton also playing the 2011 summer music festival.

Several performers have been confirmed for this summer’s 2011 Festival International de Jazz de Montreal (Montreal International Jazz Festival), including Robert Plant, Peter Frampton and Diana Krall, reports the National Post.

British rock star and former Led Zeppelin frontman Robert Plant will kick off the festivities with a concert on June 24. Tickets range in price from $69.50 to $99.50, and go on sale at noon on March 12.

Singer-songwriter Peter Frampton will take the stage on June 30. The Baby I Love Your Way singer will perform a three-hour concert retrospective, playing hits from the 1970s. Tickets for Peter Frampton Comes Alive also go on sale March 12.

Jazz singer Diana Krall will play three consecutive nights from June 26 to the 28. Tickets are already on sale through the festival website.

Other acts taking the stage during the world’s largest jazz festival include Youssou N’Dour (June 26), Pink Martini (June 28) and Holly Cole (June 30) among many others.
