Robert Zemekis Wants to Bring Scrooge To Screens

Actor Bob Hoskins has revealed that director Robert Zemekis will soon team with actor Jim Carrey to bring A Christmas Carol to film.

The classic Charles Dickens book takes place on the night before Christmas, when an old man named Ebenezer Scrooge is visited by three ghosts, from both the past and the future.

Zemekis plans to use the same manner of filming that he did for the movie The Polar Express.  Carrey would play Ebenezer Scrooge.  Actor Bob Hoskins, who previously worked with Zemekis in the film Who Framed Roger Rabbit, will play M. Fezziwig.

The next film from director Robert Zemekis, Beowulf, will open in theatres and IMAX theatres on November 16.
