Robin Williams Is Feeling Better

Robin Williams is taking it easy following open-heart surgery.

Williams is recovering well from his heart operation on Friday (March 20).  The actor underwent surgery to repair a valve and correct his irregular heart beat.

According to his surgeon, Dr. Marc Gillinov, the operation went smoothly, and the star should recover completely.

"His heart is strong, and he will have normal heart function in the coming weeks with no limitations on what he’ll be able to do," Dr. Gillinov told Us Magazine.

Just hours after the operation, Williams was cracking jokes, keeping the medical team in stitches.  The comedian mentioned that he now has new material for his stand-up show in the fall.  Instead of calling the show Weapons of Self-Destruction, he may change the title to Weapons of Self-Destruction and Reconstruction.
