A press release by MGM Studios stated that, "MGM will enter its new phase of evolution by focusing on its major movie franchises" such as Robocop, reported Ain’t It Cool News.
MGM Studios has the screenplay entitled Robocop: The Corporate Wars, which was supposed to be for the second installment of the trilogy. It seems that the production company will be reviving the human robot, more than 15 years after the release of the violent trilogy, written and directed by Fred Dekker and starring Robert Burke.
Other sequels by MGM include James Bond, Quantum of Solace, The Pink Panther 2 and The Thomas Crown Affair 2.
