The 1975 film, which was based on a musical, was shot on a minuscule budget but soon became a cult hit. To this day, screenings attract a legion of fans who act out the entire movie in the aisles and dress to impress for the occasion as their favourite character from the film.
The film stars then-unknown actors Susan Sarandon and Tim Curry, the latter in his most famous role as Dr. Frank-N-Furter, the eccentric scientist who brings Rocky to life.
Glee Creator Ryan Murphy told a horde of fans at Comic-Con in San Diego to expect the unexpected in this episode devoted to The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
