Mickey Rourke wanted to take his acting career back into his hands with the film The Wrestler, and he’s done just that. He was recently offered a role in the thriller St. Vincent.
In the film, Rourke will work under the direction of Walter Hill, with whom he worked on the 1989 film, Johnny Handsome.
The independent film St. Vincent takes place in New York when a murderer returns to the city to complete the task of killing an informant.
Production is set to begin later this year.
In the meantime, we can next see Mickey Rourke in the film The Informers, opening on April 24.
