Rolling Stone Magazine Announces Favourites of 2007

Rolling Stone magazine has published their list of the best songs of 2007.

According to the well-known American music magazine, 2007 was the year of Jay-Z.  The hip-hop star topped the list of 100 of the best songs of the past twelve months.

Jay-Z earned the top spot with his song Roc Boys.  Rolling Stone found that this star’s song was the best in 2007.  Veteran Randy Newman came in next on the list.  Newman, who shot to success in the 1970s, earned his spot on this year’s chart with the song A Few Words in Defense of Our Country.

The third spot is filled by singer Rihanna.  Her smash hit Umbrella brought the 19 year-old star from Barbados a year beyond all expectations.
