Rolling Stones Agreed to Super Bowl Censorship

The Rolling Stones agreed to be censored during their performance at halftime of the Super Bowl.

NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy said. "We agreed to that plan earlier in the week. The Stones were aware of it and were fine with it."

Censors of the NFL edited the rock group’s songs Start Me Up and Rough Justice.

According to the NFL, following the Janet Jackson scandal last year, these measures were necessary.  Jackson bared a breast in front of millions of viewers at the 2004 Super Bowl.  Many spectators were outraged.
