Rolling Stones to play Hyde Park?

Ron Wood and Keith Richards will meet this week to discuss 50th anniversary plans.

Legendary Brit rockers, the Rolling Stones, who will celebrate their 50th anniversary next year, may re-enact one of their most memorable gigs at Hyde Park in London, reports the Evening Standard.

On July 5, 1969, just two days after the death of their former guitarist, Brian Jones, the Rolling Stones performed in front of 500,000 fans at a tribute concert in honor of Jones.

Jones’ successor, Ron Wood, disclosed in an interview with the Evening Standard, that he and Keith Richards will be meeting this week to discuss plans.

"We’ll try to recapture the old camaraderie," he said. “I know Keith is fully supportive, as are the rest of the boys in the Stones."

Wood’s alcoholism had been standing in the way of a group reunion, however he’s now been sober for over one year.
