While the announcement came out last week that the pair, Robert Rodriguez and Rose McGowan, were working together on the film Red Sonja, a source told PerezHilton.com that the couple has separated.
In addition to Red Sonja, the couple was also involved in films such as, Woman in Chains and Barbarella.
Rumour has it that the filmmaker was having difficulties finding the financial means for Barbarella and that he used Rose McGowan’s stardom to lure in producers, which in turn, provoked a rift between Rodriguez and the actress.
Rodriguez didn’t waste time by approaching Jessica Alba to play Barbarella.
