Rupert Grint revealed he keeps a collection of weird antiques.

The ‘Harry Potter’ star’s collection boasts of giant elephant-bird eggs and even the X Rays of Evel Knievel after the daredevil famously broke 433 bones following a failed motorcycle jump across the Snake River Canyon in 1974.

The 24-year-old actor explained to The Sunday Times magazine: ”I love weird objects. I like collecting anything that’s just strange. I’ve got some Evel Knievel X-rays of when he shattered his bones and I have an elephant-bird egg. It was one of the biggest birds ever, like an ostrich but 10 times the size.”

Rupert’s secret passion for gathering the bizarre items is due to his love of watching ‘Antiques Roadshow’ and his fascination also extends to taxidermy, where the skins of dead animals are stuffed for display.

He continued: ”Collecting taxidermy is a phase I went through. There’s this artist called Polly Morgan who does these really cool taxidermy pieces. I’ve got one with a blue tit on a bible with a chandelier. I’ve also got one of Red Rum’s [the legendary race horse] hairs from his mane.”

Meanwhile Rupert is set to star as Cheetah, of the punk rock band Dead Boys in his new film ‘CBGB’, based on the famous nightclub in New York.
