Rush to launch trio of box sets

Sectors will span studio and live albums from 1974 to 1988.

Canadian progressive rockers Rush are gearing up to launch an epic series of box sets called Sectors on November 21, reports Exclaim!

Released in three different box sets, each collection will include five CDs in chronological order and a DVD containing the contents of one of the included albums in 5.1 channel surround sound. Each CD will be packaged in a mini-jacket that recreates the original record sleeve, and each box set comes with a booklet of photos, lyrics and credits.

Sector 1 will span from the band’s 1974 self-titled debut to 1976’s All the World’s a Stage, and includes their 1975 album, Fly by Night on DVD. Sector 2 comprises their releases from Farewell to Kings (1974) to live LP Exit…Stage Left (1981). Sector 3 picks up with Signals (1982) and includes their releases until their double-album A Show of Hands (1988).

In the meantime, the group will release their new live album, Time Machine 2011: Live in Cleveland, on November 8. The recording will be available as a CD, vinyl and digital download.
