Ryan O’Neal Arrested

According to the website TMZ, O’Neal, 65, was arrested Saturday in Malibu, California for attacking his son, Griffin O’Neal, 42.  The elder Griffin was charged with assault with a deadly weapon and negligent discharge of a firearm.

John Benedict of the Los Angeles Sheriff’s department explained, "Deputies determined that Griffin O’Neal was assaulted by his father during a family dispute."

Ryan O’Neal, who starred in the film Love Story, was taken into custody before being released on a $50,000 bail.  Griffin O’Neal’s girlfriend was also injured in the altercation.
