According to FemaleFirst, Phillippe, whose divorce from Reese Witherspoon was finalized last month, had thought about ending his life because he was crying and vomiting all the time.
The actor revealed, "After the divorce, I was a physical wreck. I wanted to die. I was ready to kill myself. I was not taking care of myself at all. I would wake up and cry and vomit."
Fortunately, Phillippe, who has joint custody of their 8-year-old daughter and 4-year-old son, got back on his feet, and thinks the experience made him a better actor.
The actor added that his children helped him get through the toughest moments.
