It’s in the magical setting of a part of Montreal’s Rue Sainte-Catherine, which has been transformed into a historic San Diego neighborhood, that you might run into the handsome, talented, funny and VERY famous Ryan Reynolds.
Montreal is currently lending one of its popular streets to a film shoot, and not just any film, either… Mayday, a feature-length action film starring Ryan Reynolds and Kenneth Branagh.
For the occasion, part of the street was totally “disguised” to make it look like the film’s actors were in San Diego, when in fact they were in our metropolis.
There are palm trees, billboards and fake shops!
Since filming began, the actors have been roaming the streets of Montreal in full view of the public, and just a few have had the chance to bump into them.

According to the Journal de Montréal, filming began in early March and will continue in and around MTL until the end of May.
So there’s still time to catch the handsome actor!
The release date for Mayday has not yet been announced, but the film is expected to arrive sometime in 2025.
