Sam Worthington Is a Criminal

Sam Worthington is set to star in the film The Last Days of American Crime.

Worthington (Terminator Salvation) signed a deal to star in the film adaptation of the comic book, The Last Days of American Crime, from Radical Publishing.

The story, written by Rick Remender and Greg Tocchini, is about a new technology administered by the government to eliminate the wild instincts of humans. Moreover, the citizens cannot commit crimes. A man will be involved in a recent crime to avoid handing over control of his human spirit.

Remender will adapt the story to the big screen. Michael Schwarz and Barry Levine will serve as producers, according to IMDb.com.

In the meantime, Sam Worthington shares the screen with Michelle Rodriguez and Sigourney Weaver in the next James Cameron sci-fi flick Avatar, opening December 18.

We can also see him along with Keira Knightley in the romantic drama Tell Me, which hits theatres on March 19, 2010, and in the highly awaited Clash of the Titans with Ralph Fiennes and Liam Neeson, which opens March 25, 2010.
