Parker begged her agent to terminate her contract with Sex and the City, just after she signed on for the role, reported FemaleFirst.
The star enjoyed working on many projects in New York and panicked when she thought of having the television series added to her agenda. She reached a point of anxiety and frantically called her agent asking to speak to the show’s producers to cancel her contract.
She explained, "I had a wonderful life in New York. I was doing theatre and movies, had plenty of free time and regularly saw my friends – so I was in a panic when I was told that I’d need to be around for regular filming."
In the end, the star is glad that she finally didn’t make an impulsive decision and followed through with her commitment.
