Sarah Jessica Parker’s Perfume Allegedly Copied

The manufacturer of Sarah Jessica Parker’s perfumes is suing a company for selling copies of its product.

Sarah Jessica Parker’s perfume manufacturer, Very Fetching Co., has filed a lawsuit against Universal Perfumes & Cosmetics Company in New York.  Zino Davidoff and Coty are also named in the lawsuit.

According to IMDb.com, they accuse Universal Perfumes of selling an unauthorised version of Sarah Jessica Parker’s Lovely perfume. They claim that the fragrance, released in 2005, was forged or stolen.

They are asking for the products to be recalled and destroyed.  They are also demanding damages which amount to three times the profits generated from the sales.

Universal Perfumes director, David Wright, was shocked by the lawsuit. He said he discussed the issue with Coty and believes it to be meritless.

The actress has launched five other fragrances since Lovely.
