Russian model and former art history major Sasha Pivovarova has designed a sleepwear collection exclusively for American retailer, the Gap, reports the Telegraph.

Pivovarova is a well-known face on the fashion runways of Europe and was featured on the cover of Vogue and in numerous ad campaigns for Giorgio Armani, Hugo Boss, and Paul & Joe.

"Creative process gives me the most freedom because I can do anything I want on a piece of blank media" explained Moscow-born Pivovarova, who currently makes her home in Brooklyn, New York.

The GapBody’s LOVE collection was inspired by fairy tales, and consists of six pieces, including pastel-hued floral underwear sets, camisoles, nightdresses and boyshorts. The sleepwear and lingerie collection launches tomorrow on December 1, with prices starting at around $26.

Her paintings have been exhibited in Paris and New York, and she is collaborating with Miuccia Prada to produce a book of her own artwork in the upcoming year. She is also illustrating a book for Karl Lagerfeld based on Russian fairy tales.

Pivovarova recently made her acting debut in the science-fiction thriller In Time, opposite Justin Timberlake and Amanda Seyfried.

The blue-eyed blonde art history student never dreamed of becoming a model until friend and photographer Igor Vishnyakov took photos of her in 2005 and gave them to an international modeling agency. After signing with IMG, her first runway show was for Prada, who then signed her to a three-year exclusive advertising contract.
