Scarlett Johansson bids farewell to Mango

Spanish fashion house unveils actress’s final ad campaign

Spanish fashion house Mango has released the images of actress Scarlett Johansson’s latest – and final – ad campaign for the label, ending the star’s long tenure as brand ambassador, reports Coco Perez.

The actress has represented the brand since 2009, when she assumed the duties from Penelope Cruz. Kate Moss has been announced as Johansson’s replacement, and is reportedly already working on her first photo-shoot in Paris.

For her last campaign, Johansson models the spring-summer 2011 collection from the label, posing in tank tops, shorts and a summer skirt. Styled by Melanie Ward, the shoot was photographed by Mario Sorrenti – who has shot all of Johansson’s campaigns for the label – at the Goldstein Residence in Beverly Hills.

With hair by stylist Christiaan and makeup by Aaron De Mey, Johansson poses in front of the mansion’s floor-to-ceiling picture windows, revealing the lush Beverly Hills scenery below.

Spanish clothing brand Mango first opened in Barcelona in 1984. In 1992, the brand started expanding internationally, and today has over 1,700 stores in 100 countries worldwide. By 1998, it had grown to become Spain’s second-largest fashion exporter.

Twenty-six-year-old Johansson first rose to fame in the 1998 film The Horse Whisperer, and in 2003, made the transition to adult roles in Sofia Coppola’s Lost in Translation starring alongside Bill Murray. She will next grace the silver screen playing the role of Kelly in the Cameron Crowe-directed dramedy, We Bought a Zoo.
