Scarlett Johansson reteams with Robert Downey, Jr.

Scarlett Johansson has verbally agreed to play the female lead in the sci-fi thriller Gravity, according to Dark Horizons.
 
She’ll reunite with her Iron Man 2 costar Robert Downey Jr., for the film, which tells the story of two survivors of a space station accident that attempt to return to Earth.
 
Alfonso Cuarón (Children of Men) will direct; he also co-wrote the screenplay with his son, Jonas.
Shooting begins in August in London.
 
Scarlett Johansson will also play Black Widow, her character from Iron Man 2, in The Avengers,  another superhero movie with Robert Downey Jr. The Avengers will open in theatres May 4, 2012.
 
There are some rumors that the film will also feature Nick Fury, Samuel L. Jackson’s character from Iron Man 2..
