According to People magazine, the actor dismissed the request for legal separation on Tuesday (May 19).
Los Angeles lawyer Lynn Soodik, who is not involved in this divorce, said, "This appears to imply that they’re reconciling again. It’s unlikely Sean Penn would request a dismissal for any other reason."
This is the second time Penn has withdrawn his request for divorce. The 48-year-old actor and his 43-year-old wife began divorce proceedings in December 2007, after 11 years of marriage, before cancelling in April 2008.
