Over the past few weeks, BPM Sports has been on a roll. The station is adding a number of big titles to its podcast platform, including a hockey podcast with Pierre LeBrun.
The addition of Tony Marinaro has also brought in a different audience. He’s one reason why subscriptions to the BPM Sports YouTube page have skyrocketed.
In short, BPM Sports has the wind in its sails.
This is particularly evident in the ratings. According to our information, last week was an excellent one for the station, with a market share of around 10 points among men aged 25 to 54.
It was one of the best weeks since the pandemic.
But all is not perfect. Why not? Because BPM Sports has informed Sébastien Goulet that his “Focus LNH” column will no longer be featured on Le Club du Matin.
Goulet made the announcement on social networks.
I’ve been informed that the Focus LNH column will no longer be presented in Le Club du Matin on BPM Sports.
It’s just a step back before we embark, I hope, on other collaborations.
We look forward to seeing you on TV and, who knows, on the radio… to be continued.

The hockey describer at TVA Sports is a credible contributor who wasn’t at his first barbecue at the station. He was a host on the morning show this summer, and has long been heard on the airwaves.
So we have to wonder why he was told he would no longer be doing his NHL roundup.
We know that the morning show has not been the most listened-to program on BPM Sports since the return of regular programming. Did management want to change a time slot that was not working as well?
The question arises.
Another question is whether the arrival of Anthony Marcotte (who is now on the Habs beat ) on the show every morning meant that a column was becoming too much.
It’s worth noting that the main man involved, who is a master of his trade, says he would like to have other collaborations of the same kind. Only time will tell whether this will happen.
