The group, led by American Idol finalist, Chris Daughtry, is hoping to finish writing their second album’s songs this spring. Approximately 17 songs have been written, and Daughtry revealed that this new material does have resemblances to the first album, but is more complex. He added that each member wrote their own songs separately, then united to bring their ideas together.
The group’s first album, Daughtry, sold 3.2 million copies. Billboard magazine named it the top-selling album between December 2006 and November 2007.
