According to Billboard, Pearl Jam will be performing several shows in the United States later this year. McCready also revealed during a radio show interview that the band is putting the final touches on 14 songs for a new album, as well as working on a film with director Cameron Crowe.
McCready explained that the group is about half way through the creative process for the album, and recording is set to take place in California with producer Brendan O’Brien. The album, which would be Pearl Jam’s ninth, is expected to be released before the end of the year.
Pearl Jam also announced that they will be taking part in the Austin City Limits music festival in Texas. A South American tour is planned for 2010 as well.
