The 29 year-old star beat stiff competition from Canadian Nelly Furtado, whose song Maneater has been climbing the charts. Shakira’s Hips Don’t Lie is not only topping the charts, but filling the night clubs around the country.
Shakira will also be performing the song with Wyclef Jean, who is Haitian, at the final match of the World Cup in Germany on July 9.
