Last Friday (August 28), a year after her split from her husband, Robert "Mutt" Lange, Twain wrote a note to her fans on her Web site, reports People.
The singer turned 44 on August 28, and took the opportunity to post a 15-minute video on her official Web site featuring highlights from the past year. She also wrote, "I want you to see for yourself that we are doing fine."
Twain and Lange ended their marriage in May 2008, because Lange had been having an affair with Shania’s friend, Marie-Anne Thiébaud, who had worked for the couple at their Swiss home for several years.
Twain also revealed that she’s had help from someone very special throughout her ordeal. That someone special is Frédéric Thiébaud, the former husband of Lange’s mistress. The singer says that her friend has been a great support to her and her son. Now, Twain and Thiébaud are generating speculation about their relationship, after recenting vacationing in Canada with Shania’s 8-year-old son, Eja.
